cowtown: the cowboy

Posted by Chris (South Jersey, United States) on 3 April 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Standing in front of Cowtown is the iconic cowboy, standing tall (all 30 feet of him) and watching all the cars as they drive by on US Rt 40. Although many people stop in Cowtown when it is open, many millions more have driven past this figure on their way to the Jersey Shore, and may have wondered why there is a large cowboy standing in South Jersey. Apparently he used to hold a lasso in his hand but it was taken down when people tried to swing from it....

By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that's not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God's grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
Romans 5:1-2

I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!
