A lifeguard practices in the boat in case he is needed to save someone from drowning.
Then he got in the boat, his disciples with him. The next thing they knew, they were in a severe storm. Waves were crashing into the boat—and he was sound asleep! They roused him, pleading, "Master, save us! We're going down!" Jesus reprimanded them. "Why are you such cowards, such faint-hearts?" Then he stood up and told the wind to be silent, the sea to quiet down: "Silence!" The sea became smooth as glass. The men rubbed their eyes, astonished. "What's going on here? Wind and sea come to heel at his command!" Matthew 8:23-27
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

I like the waves in the foreground. Well done!

@Betty: Thanks Betty!
Fret picture! I like how you chose to have more sea than sky. I think I would have liked it in the landscape orientation better to allow more room for the lifeguard to "move." I love OC NJ! We were there last year.

@Tracey: Thanks Tracey! I agree on the landscape presentation, but I had to crop this to get a person out of the foreground that distracted from the image - sometimes you have to compromise!.....
Puuuuuullllllllllllll hard! I like your focus on the foreground and boat!

@Judy: Thanks Judy!!
He looks like he is rowing with all his might and I guess he needs to be able to move that boat through the water very quickly if he is going to rescue someone. The water in the foreground is beautiful.

@Marion: You are right - it looks like a workout!!
He's doing well, but.... don't they have an outboard motor? Nicely framed shot.

@Observing: Thanks - they may not use motors because of concerns with hurting someone - or they may just use to try and keep the lifeguards in shape!!!
Thank God for them! They sure have been busy this year! Very nice.
