For this image, I boosted the contrast from the original (see yesterday), which really seemed to bring the fog a little bit closer. Let me know if you like this more than yesterday (or not), and why.
Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham's blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God's life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.Galatians 3:13-14
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

I like yesterday's version better, the softer mist.

For me, this image is more striking than yesterdays, I think the higher contrast carries more of a mysterious quality, and I just love the more intense colours.

I guess I'm a naturalist ... I like yesterday's better also. Somehow the deep reds seem overdone, but the redeeming quality is the loss of the trees in the distance. This one could be a book jacket - the other, a beautiful print!

My vote goes to yesterday, too, because the mist was so natural. The most used tools in PS, for me, are the sliders that 'fade' the effect I have just applied !

Yesterday's image seemed to me to be more about the fog hanging in the soft light ... today's image really seems more like a sunset image. I actually like them both but they communicate different messages to me.
