thirsty flower

This flower needed some extra water because of the excessive heat we have had the last couple of days. The water seemed to light up the color and restore the garden to life.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:8-9

I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

Good processing Chris. I think the grass needs some moisture too ;D. I could send you some of our cool weather and rain. One would think it was winter here by the last few days weather.

@Betty: Thank you Betty - the color of the flower was almost blinding in the sun!

Some of our schools are doing the same thing if they don't have A/C - it is pretty bad....

Fantastic pp Chris, the vivid sunny yellow of the flower with the waterdrops, is georgous against the background.

@Viewfinder: Thank you - I didn't touch the yellow in the post processing I did (didn't have to), but obviously took the background to b&w.

Its absorbing the water... from the heat? It seems like the flower is alive and acting like a human would; drinking in the sun, because its thirsty... or swimming in its own sweat... very nice picture, Chris!

@Sammi: Thank you Sammi - we have to water these flowers from the hose every day when it is so hot out, and with the bright sun the color just came alive once I watered it. I didn't think about the flower sweating!!
