Another view of Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge near Portland. The contrast of the water against the lush green around the bottom of the falls made this look like a bolt of light from above.
"I don't think the way you think. The way you work isn't the way I work." God's Decree. "For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don't go back until they've watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them.Isaiah 55:8-11
I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

@niña: I feel the same way - a wonderful peace knowing that our amazing God created this beautiful place that is full of such power and yet delicate wonder. Thanks!
Hmm, I like the photo, but wonder if you took other shots at different speeds. From my comment yesterday, you know where I'm coming from.

@Judy: Thanks Judy - I played around a lot with different speeds, exposures, and the like (the great thing about digital). Check out tomorrow's shot for a higher shutter speed.
Wow, Chris. This is quite an interesting capture that has a unique feel to it! Almost feels fake...in a good way (does that make sense?) I collect postcards from around the states and I just got one from Oregon. I had never heard about the Columbia River Gorge until today! Kinda cool to see it :0)

@Tracey: Thanks Tracey - I wasn't sure if I should post this or not because the overexposed water didn't look like water (looks almost like a fake lightning bolt). The Columbia River Gorge is beautiful and the fact that it was so warm this past weekend (in the 90's) made it a great little visit.
