This past weekend my wife and I visited Portland, Oregon (she visited the quilt show here and I tagged along and took some pictures). This is Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, one of many that I visited and photographed (and will be showing to you over the next few days).
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.Psalm 42:1,7
I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
Please give me your constructive comments - I do appreciate your input!
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!
GORGEOUS, Chris! I love the spring green on the rock and while I don't always like the slower shutter speed results on water, this worked very well. You captured the mist ... and chose the perfect verse!

@Judy: Thanks Judy - there was moss everywhere and with the constant mist coming off the waterfalls everything was very green. I actually didn't use a slow shutter for this (1/125th - it was kind of dark), but I was happy with the look of the water.
Amazing image of nature at its most beautiful, Chris. Excellent image!

@Jrask: Yes I was (and boy was it hot!!). Thanks for your comments!
A wonderful sense of clean, clear energy here . . Nature at work in the wild.

@Ronnie 2¢: It is a potential source of energy, and in fact the Columbia River has a large dam just upstream from this location - only problem is the damage caused when you build the dam!!
Nice angle to capture, great ligh and colors.
