eagle

On our way home from Virginia, my wife suddenly said "I think I just saw an eagle!". I turned the car around and drove back so that we could take another look, and take a few pictures of this magnificent bird.

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.Isaiah 40:31

I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

Wow... what a terrific find, not everyday one finds an eagle sitting on a branch. It's an amazing shot and nicely presented here.

@Observing: It was really great to see him, and he wasn't that far off the highway. The Bald Eagle is actually doing pretty well (but still not exactly common) and I think is off the endangered list. I was thrilled to see him.

@Kelela: Thank you - it definately pays to have the camera with you for moments like these, but it was a bit hectic (me turning the car around and yelling to the kids "get my camera out!!").
