megan's seaweed

Posted by Chris (South Jersey, United States) on 1 May 2008 in Plants & Nature.

My recent re-interest in photography has sparked an interest by my youngest daughter (she is 13) in photography as well. She is always asking to borrow my camera and this past weekend while we were in Virginia she disappeared for a while with my camera. She returned with some wonderful shots, including this one of seaweed growing on the jettys along the beach.

I am a little "green" with envy over my daughter's talent!!

Ocean gripped me by the throat. The ancient Abyss grabbed me and held tight. My head was all tangled in seaweed at the bottom of the sea where the mountains take root. I was as far down as a body can go, and the gates were slamming shut behind me forever—Yet you pulled me up from that grave alive, O God, my God!Jonah 2:5-6

I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back.
I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!
