This past weekend we explored the gardens at Winterthur, and enjoyed the fabulous colors on display for us. Especially prominent now are the "glory of the snow" - these little tiny flowers that form a blanket on the "March Bank" area of the estate.
Get up, my dear friend, fair and beautiful lover—come to me! Look around you: Winter is over; the winter rains are over, gone! Spring flowers are in blossom all over. The whole world's a choir—and singing!Song of Solomon 2:10-12
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

@Ana Lúcia: Thanks - I tried something different to make it a little more "arty"
I don't like the post edition, but anyway it's a great photo. Lovely lighting

@Doc: thanks for your comment - but I am not sure what you mean by "the post edition" (post processing maybe)? I softened the image a bit and provided the border, but don't think it was a lot of processing. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
This is wonderful Chris, what a glorious colour the carpet of blue flowers create. A very beautiful, uplifting spring image.

I am looking closely for the fairies! :0)

@Tracey: They were pretty quick and I couldn't quite capture them!! (Actually there is a fairie garden for the kids as part of Winterthur).
What a delightful scene of such tranquillity. I feel I want to say what a beautiful time of year this is - but realise that every time of year is just as precious.

@Ronnie 2¢: Every time of year has it's moments, but there is something about spring and new life that is special to me. Thanks for your comments.
I like the way you have presented this lovely flower carpet. The frame really adds to the overall 'fairytale' like quality.

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks, the frame is not normally something I would try but it seemed to work and I know I have to keep on trying new things!!
Who could resist a carpet of blue!
