On our summer vacation last year we visited Stratford Canada, a wonderful town that puts on a great Shakespeare festival every year (we saw "A Comedy of Errors"). My daughter Samantha visited some of the swans that swim along in the River Avon and I was able to capture her encounter!
O my soul, bless God! God, my God, how great you are! Along the riverbanks the birds build nests, ravens make their voices heard. You water the mountains from your heavenly cisterns; earth is supplied with plenty of water. You make grass grow for the livestock, hay for the animals that plow the ground.Psalm 104:1,12-14
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

@Michael Skorulski: Thanks, it is a great town to visit and can be quite busy at times but the day we were there it was a little overcast and quite empty.
That is one HUGE bird...I was attacked by a goose when I was a kid so I think this would scare the living daylights out of me!

@Jrask: I think they startled my daughter as well but they are pretty tame from being around all the people all the time...
great shot... what a lovely place

@MJ: Thanks, we loved Stratford....
Wonderful capture!
@Betty: Thanks!! I am not sure what the swan was saying to my daughter, but it certainly looks like he is talking to her!
And it came out to be a very theatrical shot, lovely!

@Dimitrios: Thank you!!
Chris, this is a wonderfully balanced shot and the shoreline perspective adds to it.
We've never been to Stratford, Canada, but there is a Shakespeare Theater in Stratford, CT, which closed in 1989 but is in the process of hopefully being reopened.

@Judy: Thank you Judy. The Shakespeare festival in Stratford Canada (a couple hours southwest of Toronto) is a pretty big deal - they have multiple plays going through the summer and quite a few people come to see the shows and the town. I would highly recommend it to anyone..
It is scenery such as a movie. Very nice.
