I have not been able to get outside to take pictures recently, so I thought I would post some from my vacation last summer - actually the first time I got to use my new DSLR.
This is Trehman State Park in Ithaca, NY. A wonderful place to hike and relax with some amazing scenery and waterfalls. This is the upper portion of the park with a large gorge that has been carved out of the stone by the water.
O my soul, bless God! God, my God, how great you are! beautifully, gloriously robed, Dressed up in sunshine, and all heaven stretched out for your tent. You blanketed earth with ocean, covered the mountains with deep waters; Then you roared and the water ran away— your thunder crash put it to flight. Mountains pushed up, valleys spread out in the places you assigned them. You set boundaries between earth and sea; never again will earth be flooded. You started the springs and rivers, sent them flowing among the hills.Psalm 104
I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

This reminds me of places we've seen in New England - not so very far from Ithaca, really. I love the greens in this capture.
Thank you for your caring comments, Chris. It's been a difficult ten days, but God is good. He is wrapping his arms around us and bringing us some of his wonderful peace.
