This week my wife is at the Spring Blossom Quilt show at the Continental Inn in Lancaster Pennsylvania. She is selling quilt patterns, pins, and notecards that she has created - for many of her products all of the profits are donated to charity.
Although I certainly do not have her creative gift, I do help out where I can (which means I helped her transport her products and set up her booth!).
If you get a chance, you can visit her web site to view her products.
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!
Please stop by and visit my daughter's photoblog - Views of a Girl Please visit my wife's blog - The Noble Wife
Nice shot.

@Betty: Thanks!
Quilting by hand can be a true art form.

@Viewfinder: Well, I hate to tell you but she doesn't quilt by hand - she either machine quilts or pays someone else to do the quilting for her. She spends so much time just designing, cutting and sewing together the pieces of the quilt I can't imagine her doing the quilting as well!
Each one a work of art, really beautiful, Mrs Chris is a very talented lady.

@MaryB: Thank you - I agree!!
Those are lovely!

@Laurie: Thanks!!
They are lovely quilts, she has a real creative talent. My partner makes quilts from my photos. We print the images onto textiles, its great fun (well, the photo & printing bit for me, the quilting bit for her). Have you ever tried combining these two interests?

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks - no we have not tried that (yet!). I do enjoy taking pictures of her work but never thought of putting my images on a quilt - what would happen if I put a photo of a quilt on a quilt!
Wow Chris! Besides photography, my other passion is quilting! And I live only about 45 minutes from Lancaster. I wish I would've known about it sooner! Great pic by the way. The colors are fantastic.

@Tracey: The show goes on until Sunday - so you still have time. Thanks!!
These are really creative and I can imagine the satisfaction not only of completing something like this but then raising funds for charity off the sales.

@Ronnie 2¢: She does enjoy selling them but we are not sure how well she will do this year - first day was a bit slow (maybe the concerns about the economy are showing).
