Pictures from my oldest daughter's final high school play - The Sound of Music.
Maria (played by my daughter Samantha) snuck away from the von Trapp home when she became confused about her feelings for the Captain. At the Abbey, the Mother Superior counseled her and told her that following God's will doesn't mean that she has to become a nun - love and marriage can come from God as well. Maria returns to the house and the Captain and Maria acknowledge their feelings for each other. They decide to marry (one of my favorite parts of the play is when the Captain asks Maria "is there anyone I should talk to so that I can ask for your hand in marriage" and Maria answers "Let's ask the children").
This is a picture from the wedding scene, with the von Trapp girls watching as their father and new mother exchange vows. The two girls on the left (playing youngest and oldest von Trapp girls Gretl and Liesl) are actually sisters in real life (and the director's daughters.
He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.Proverbs 14:6
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

@Betty: Thank you Betty - I just thought it would be nice to explain the shot a bit.
So terrific! I'm with Betty; am enjoying this series a lot. In fact, I may have to check out "Sound of Music" and watch it again. All because of your daughter and your pix. Great series & narrations; today among the best shots.

@Viewfinder: Thank you VF - I normally don't think of my "people pictures" as being my strongest, but I have been pretty happy with most of these as well.
Chris, you're outdoing yourself with this series. Every photo is different, but reminds us all of the beautiful von Trapp family story.
