the lonely goatherd

Posted by Chris (South Jersey, United States) on 13 March 2008 in People & Portraits.

Pictures from my daughter's final high school play - The Sound of Music.

By showing them a little love and attention and making a connection through song, Maria (played by my daughter Samantha) and the children become very close. In this scene, the children run to Maria's room when they are scared by a thunderstorm, and they sing "The Lonely Goatherd" together as a way to get over their fears.

How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes behind your veil are doves. Your hair is like a flock of goats descending from Mount Gilead.
Song of Solomon 4:1

I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back.
I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.

I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!
