This is my daughter's birthday cake from her 13th birthday last weekend. The cake was made by my wife and daughter and is made of layers of ice cream and cake (and it was delicious!)!
I now am the father of two teenage girls - and feeling a little bit older than I did last week!!!

So that is what I've got....splendor! That does look good Chris!

@Craiger: Yes, my "splendor" started coming in when I was 23!!
Yum, tasty cake - and now you have two teenagers to deal with, all I can say is 'good luck'. I just have one teen to deal with, my son, and can sympathize.

@Richard_Irwin: Well, even though I am sure my two teenage girls will give me a few more gray hairs, for the most part they are good kids and I am truly blessed to have them. I will miss my eldest next year when she goes off to college....
Mmm, cake. I like the colors, lines, and shapes.

@Steven: Thank you - it was really good cake!!
Have I told you that your wife's a 'keeper'? <grin> Now you're outnumbered by THREE 'women' ........ hang onto your hat!

@Judy: yes Judy, I think you have mentioned that before ;-) Check out her blog and leave a comment there if you get a chance - she is always looking for input on her art and what she has to say....

@Jen: Ice cream cake is the best - and this one combined ice cream and cake! (I think my wife is going to blog the directions on how to make this on her blog in the next few days).
Thanks for your feedback!
Did you save any for your blog friends? Looks delicious. And Happy Birthday wishes to your daughter!

Yum!! Fabulous looking cake. I understand feeling older. I have one child, a son, 18, a freshman in college. The teen years were no more difficult that any other years, just different. It was, and is, a joy to see him maturing into an adult.

@Anita: Our oldest will start college in the fall - very strange to see them grow up....
