All of us are broken. We are imperfect people, living in an imperfect world. We struggle with work, family, addictions, fear, hatred, selfishness...... We all have a hole in our heart and we try to fill it - with a prettier girlfriend, a bigger house, a faster car..... But those things will never fill that hole - there is only One who can.
"Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

@Viewfinder: Thanks VF!!
This photo and caption/quotes go so very well together. Do you think of the caption before or after taking the photo?

@Anita: Almost all of the time I take the picture first and then when I sit down to post think about what I want to write to accompany the picture (and I use BibleGateway to search the bible for appropriate verses). What is striking is that some subjects that I spend a lot of time on don't end up being very memorable - but others (like this one) are just "throwaway" type shots that I take on a whim and end up with a powerful image.
i agree. 'there is only One who can' nice thought provoking shot.

@Hinah: Thank you for your kind comment - He fills that hole in our heart when He provided a way that we could again have a relationship with Him, through the death of Jesus on the cross (we can't do it ourselves).....
Nice shot, great advice!

@Richard_Irwin: Thank you - as I said above it was a very "spur of the moment" shot - I saw it on the ground and snapped it without even thinking about it.
Great title for a great capture. Very well spotted
