A very empty corn field that my daughter and I stopped at on our photo expedition this past weekend.
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. James 5:7-8
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

@Craiger: Thank you Craiger!!
The textures and colour are wonderful. I agree with Craig's comment, they work beautifully together.

@MaryB: Thank you - I noticed the shapes in the field when I took the picture, and the color of the corn just kind of happened.
Once again, a beautiful complimentary image to go with your excellent choice of Scripture. Or is it vice versa?

@Viewfinder: I usually go with the picture first, and then look for scripture to go along. For today's I had found a couple of possible scriptures but this one really spoke to the waiting that the farmer goes through (and that we all must go through as well).
What a beautiful expanse!

@e.: Thank you - there are a lot of fields around me so I have some wide open spaces to take pictures in....
If I may say so, I like the crop. Beautyful shot. Great texture and lighting
