tools of the tradePosted by Chris (South Jersey, United States) on 12 January 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio. Thinking about what to take pictures of, I usually find myself thinking in terms of grand landscapes or vistas. But often some great images are found very close to home - like this photo of paintbrushes from my wife's studio. My wife paints, sews, writes, and is truly one of the most creative people I know. Her artistic vision is what got me interested in trying my hand at something artistic with photography. For her business, The Noble Wife, she creates and sells hand sewn or hand painted pins for which all of the proceeds are used to buy sheep or drill water wells for poor families around the world. I probably take her for granted sometimes, and forget to look close to home for the things that are most important, but she means the world to me and I am so amazed at her artistic vision and her compassion for others. She truly is a Noble Wife. "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. Please visit her blog to see her art and leave a comment if you like! I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images. I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you! Please visit my wife's blog - The Noble Wife
