Even though the leaf has fallen from the tree, the tree still stands strong against the winds of winter. The decay of the leaf will nourish the tree and make it stronger in years to come.

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. Micah 7:8
