While taking pictures in Penns Grove NJ on New Years Day, I came across the old abandoned Willis Hardware Store in town. Penns Grove was probably at one time a pretty town, but has fallen on hard times and most of the stores are just empty shells. A famous actor did grow up here (think Die Hard, Sixth Sense).
I converted the image to IR in Paint Shop Pro.
I am on vacation for a few days and will not be able to comment on your pictures - thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up when I get back. I hope that I can become a better photographer with the examples here on Am3 and by getting your feedback on my images.
I may not be able to reply to each of your comments - but they mean a lot to me and I thank you!

Documenting these declining towns is important. It is sad to see empty storefronts that were once thriving businesses.

Very nice photo and commentary. I like. And it is a bit sad to see the individuality of various locales become swallowed up in the megamart and fast food homogenization of our nation.
